Each player having a total of 5 matches in this example. All matches will be either until forfeiture of one or both players, or headquarter victory condition.
Tournament will go over 3 separate days - with each winning player getting 3 points, an agreed draw giving 1 point, loser getting none.
Should more players want to participate we will play by the following rules.
Single-Elimination (More than 8 Players)
Randomized draw of pairings of 1v1 of which the winners will advance to fight the winner from the other group until one champion remains.
Depending on the number of players the needed amount of games might vary - No player should have to do more than 2 games a day. A day being either a widely accepted holiday or on the weekend.
Other rules / Streaming
All participants must be able and willing to stream their game on discord (for ease of use) - audio commentary or face cam is NOT a requirement. Games will be commentated by streamers on twitch.
Forfeitures must be reported immediately to a judge - other than that the tournament will be based on an honorbound system.
Not limited to but including the following things are inacceptable.
Watching the streams of your opponent / on twitch while currently engaged in the game to gain information about them. [Watching games AFTER the fact to learn what your opponent likes is fair game though and highly encouraged!]
ceasing gameplay without forfeiture
Should those verifiably take place or be deemed by a judge to be exceedingly likely we will reserve the right to exclude any player from further participation.
Streamers are more than welcome to stream their own gameplay - and are in fact encouraged to do so! Shoutouts will be given on Discord, on partnered discords, as on oxymoron1989s channel.
We ask that streamers strongly consider returning the favor to SWR discord by regularly giving them shoutouts, preferably with automated commands / timers, as well as verbally.
Times for the respective games will be announced shortly!
